Regarding the Paul vs. Jesus website

From the Paul Contradicts Jesus website (http://www.voiceofjesus.org/paulvsjesus.html)

My responses to this critique:

#1- Jesus agreed with Paul. They both taught the Coming of the Lord ("the kingdom of heaven")
was imminent as did James, Peter and John. They all agreed, as did Daniel too, that they
were living in the Last Days... I suppose the Daniel prophecy could be the divine reason that
they were in agreement. The reason that Jesus said not to follow those would say: "The time
is at hand" is because they are pretending to be Christ, they are false Christs saying things
that would be expected of Christ.. "Follow me, I am the Christ, the End is near". Jesus
proceeds to give the disciples signs to watch for that they would know when the end was
near.. There is no contradiction.

#2- No contradiction ,... the Holy Spirit is "another helper"... the Greek "another of the same kind" of Helper... "The spirit of christ" by whom Jesus promised to give further instruction to the disciples

#3.- (This guy is desperate) Jesus was raised died for the lost and was raised that He could rule over those who have died, as well as over those who are alive. In the Luke 20 reference, Jesus answers the Sadducees who didn't believe in the existence of "souls" or in the resurrection, that when God said, "I AM the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob", that indicated that these men, though they had died physically, still existed. I am = present tense... God isn't the God of the "dead", those who no longer exist physically... but He IS the God of the "spirits of all men". No contradiction.

4. No contradiction... Paul sums up the inter-human commandments, Jesus was summing up all ten commandments...

5. Paul was talking about election; that those God chooses for salvation are not chosen because of who they are or due to anything they have done. Jesus was talking about human behavior, that God would have mercy on those who show mercy. This, like many of the laws of the universe, work for anyone, regardless of their faith, or lack thereof. You reap what you sow.... tends to hold true for everyone. If you are diligent in work, you will be made prosperous (Proverbs). No contradiction.

I will be merciful to myself and the readers and not pursue this List of "Paul's "Contradictions" of Jesus" any further. These five were very weak and I don't expect it will improve. - Lightbringer
